  • V-Ray server is starting, try again in a few moments

Hi, when I try to render I only get this message: "V-Ray server is starting, try again in a few moments" V-Ray VFB won't show either, what is the issue?

Save your file and restart Blender may fix that.

Hi daniel.kapsazov No the issue is still the same. I saved the scene and restarted blender but still get the same message when I hit render: "V-Ray server is starting, try again in a few moments" and the VFB don't show up either.

hmercado I’m sorry to hear that you’re still experiencing the issue. At first glance, it seems to be related to a licensing problem. I have to ask—did you follow the steps outlined in the following thread?

          https://forums.chaos.com/forum/v-ray...-license-error

If you haven’t, please give them a try now.

          Hello everyone,

We have identified an issue with V-Ray for Blender that may have already affected some of you.
You may have seen V-Ray displaying a “No floating license available” error, or in some cases you may have seen a Sign In dialog that wouldn’t do anything.

The issue is now resolved and the V-Ray for Blender beta build has been updated to address the issue.

If you have been affected by this, here's what you need to do to apply the fix:
          1. Download the updated build and install it.
          2. Start Blender
          3. Go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons and make sure the V-Ray add-on is loaded (you can ignore any errors or dialogs at this time).

          4. Set V-Ray as the active renderer

          5. Go to the V-Ray menu > Chaos Account and sign out.

          6. Go to the V-Ray menu > Chaos Account and sign in again.

          7. Restart Blender

Thank you for your understanding and we hope you enjoy the beta.

I’ll be waiting for your response here.

Thank you. daniel.kapsazov I have the latest beta build installed.
When I go to the V-Ray menu > Chaos Account nothing pops up to let me sign in or out.

                Dear hmercado, hello.

We wanted to ensure that your CPU has AVX2 support (listed in our system requirements).

ZmqServer has crashed possibly due to access violation.
Could you please also check Windows Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application. There should be an Error with description containing ZmqServer.exe
If there is one, please send it to us. And check the AVX2 support (link to Intel website is added above).

                Best regards,
                TS

                  Hello,
My CPU is XEON E5-2680V2 AVX support NOT AVX2
Does this means V-Ray for blender is not compatible with my system even using an RTX GPU?

Unfortunately yes, AVX2 is required for V-Ray to work even when rendering using the GPU.
