    1. Update script - yours is pretty old (no light selection menu in sky settings when "take settings from sky" = off)
    2. You Sun lamp is Sun mode? Or in Direct mode?

    So, update script, set SunLamp to Sun (Shape panel) mode, set "take settings from sky" = on => forget about problems =)

    Also for the environment texture : the cube and plane material is not reflective
    This very old vray "feature" - texture in screen mode "leaks" through objects.

              Hey!

              I'm still having problems with reflection maps. This has been an issue for a long time now, even in the 2.49b exporter, so I'm wondering if it's a Vray bug or not...

              Activating a texture with reflection influence screws up reflections in that the Influence slider doesn't do anything, nor does changing the Reflection color in the Material Parameters.

                and what if also U choose to influence the texture for: glossiness, highlights, ?
                Maybe tex should be much more brighter/darker

                    maybe there's difference with texture saved as greyscale and texture destatured from color but saved as rgb?

                      Ok, it seems it has a problem with Grayscale PNGs so I converted the texture to an RGB JPG, however it seems Blender/Vray has a problem with updating the image as it still tries to use the old image when I set a new image path. I had to create a new texture to use the updated image..

                      Now the problem is that it seems to be affecting the reflection, however the Influence slider has no effect: The reflection is 100% no matter what I set in the slider or in the reflection color...

                        The contrast is good, there are pure white and pure black areas, so the extremes are there. Glossiness doesn't seem to have an effect, though I'm still just trying to get the proper Reflection influence to work

                          Seems to be Blender problem (because vb doesnt cache any data - if its updated in blender than its updated in vray). Try to update Blender.

                              There is a mistake - Hilight and Glossy are swapped.

                                what was that ? I ve just updated the script , then started blender and hit f12 - rendering calculated in different way - whole area appeared at once !
