    ah, now I see - yes direct can be helpfull when it more that one in the scene should be sky independent

    i hope to test FOG and sss again soon - maybe this changes will help to achieve similar results with same setups to max/vray...

      Lens Shift only accepts positive numbers. It should be able to do negative numbers too, I think, for when the Camera is angled below the horizon (<90 degrees in it's local X axis).

        Ok i know i was writing somewhere about that but cant find it (edit ok found .
        Second reason is that i found that my problem with wrapper was beacuse of bounced light from the object (not specular, or GI itself).
        Any ideas how to disable that? (i dont want to lower recive GI values becouse if so im losing slight shadows) i just want to get rid off everything that shines on the wrapper.

        When using border+crop+image to blender - panorama 360 texture in the background has strange offset on the left in UV/image editor
        Same border+crop crushes blender.

          At the end of every rendering I get the message:
          'error: Cannot write output image file "<filepath>\render_Camera_007.0001.png": "error writing file"' -where <filepath> is the path to the folder where my scene is.

          I can't seem to find an option to disable this seemingly automatic saving and I suspect it may be related to why Vray crashes after it finishes a rendering with particle instances. I've got a particle system that instances a bunch of proxies over a plane (for grass). When it finishes rendering the last bucket, after about 5 seconds, Vray freezes and crashes. Works fine without the particle system. I posted about this on the Vray forum and they're not sure what it's about, so I'm wondering if it's an exporter issue...

            i get almost the same error when paths are wrong set Output.
            working example 4 me:
            If output folder is in
            MacintoshHD/Renders/
            then path in output must look like that:
            /Renders/

              #1 Select Red ball material, enable Wrapper, set Generate GI = 0
              #2 You on mac? Have the same issue on my mac.
              #3 In this file you have incorrect (relative) V-Ray binary path in Exporter panel.

              #5 I think its about the same mac path problem... Try to press "-" when starting blender from command line.

                #1 SOLVED !
                I dont blame exporter nor vray just wrapper works like it works - so somewhere in the future - if You have a lot of free time - maybe you can add some special for vb feature to make wrraper work like 'only shadow' in blender. Something that adds GI values only in shadow areas, maybe it can be made with changing mixing layers mode (GI & direct ligth) < not needed.

                  i downloaded the latest script and mesh lights dont work. anyone have similar problem?

                  and will we be able to use black/white matte textures to texture mesh lights?

                          i uninstalled your vray/blender custom build.

                          i download from your site your custom blender build. i render with mesh lights and it works.

                          i then downloaded your latest exporter. and mesh lights didnt work.

                          so on my computer the latest exporter doesnt render with mesh lights. but it worked with the exporter that comes with your build. from januar 7.

                                I think blender changed something that makes accessing textures with vray really annoying. r34735. Latest vb25-patch and export script. Win64.

                                Normally, in the properties panel, I clicked on world, then texture and it displayed the world texture. Then I could click on an object and texture to show the object's texture.

                                In this latest version, I can access the object texture, but I can't get to the world texture. If I switch to the blender renderer, then hit world, texture, I see a button that says "Show world texture". By clicking it, I can see the world texture. Then switching back to V-Ray renderer, I can see the world texture. However I cannot access the object texture. Clicking an object, then texture shows the world texture. To access the object texture I have to switch back to blender renderer, click "show material textures", then switch back to v-ray.

                                See attached picture. The picture only shows the two-way button, but some times it is a three-way button which has "show material textures", "show world textures", and "show brush textures".
