Re: V-Ray for Maya 2.0 beta

Good news from Chaos Group friends; I was worried about the RT issue, and they told me a workaround:

Let the texture blend mode to "none". That's it.

This is because the Layered texture support is in the "to do" list; they discovered the problem looking at the blender exporter, and more specifically at the unsupported plugin (TexLayered TLMAMaterialMT00TETex).

I have tested with a very easy scene and it works ok.

      Hope it helps!

Yes, but I have to say that for me, only works for very basic scenes; when you start to have more complicated materials, it fails.
          But it's a start.

            Absolutely.
Also good news that it's a problem with a 'not finished feature', rather than 'opencl crap'

Of course! And to be sure that your investment in a new graphics card worth it! I bought mine for rendering with Cycles and now with Vray I would like to take advantage from it.

              Hopefully good news soon!
