Purchasing vray for use in Blender. Which version? Max or Maya?

    elieli, if you don't plan to use V-Ray For 3dsmax with 3ds max there is no need to buy it only for Standalone, because it's ~3 times more expensive then Standalone.

    How actually Vray for Blender will work with Vray 3.0?
    It will work the same way as with V-Ray 2.x.
    The only thing is that features from V-Ray 3.x will not work with V-Ray 2.x.
    It won't crash or smth, you will just see some warnings about missing plugins in the log, like Skin Shader or VRayClipper which are only available in V-Ray 3.x.

      I do understand differences between versions, but is there coming Vray standalone 3.0 in next months?
