  • Use Camera Path

    Hello there,

Firstly, I really appreciate it for your support. What a nice V-Ray for Blender!!

I've tried to use Use Camera Path for Irradiance Map and Light Cache.
But there is nothing happened with the feature of Use Camera Path in Blender at all.

    For Instance,
Camera is moving from 1 frame to 60 frame.
And V-Ray have to calculate irradiance Map of all frames(60 frames) with Camera Moving for each frame when using the use camera path.
But V-Ray for Blender just calculate 1 frame even if I turned on Use Camera Path with Animation.
It is quite important feature to reduce rendering time and flickering for Animation.
Am I missing something to use Use Camera Path or it is not ready to use it in Blender?
If there is any solution to make it work, please give me a help.

Thank you for all of your help in advance.

    Best Regards,
    Sersia.

Thank you for your fast feedback. I am really appreciate it. :_)

BTW, I installed this version - vb25-41440-windows-x86_64.exe and then I updated the exporter as you mentioned. I've tried to use "git pull" as well.
After that I got an error. There is no output settings now. Could you please check attached the images to know the error?
And vb25-42180-windows-x86.exe is working great with use camera path but it doesn't work with Sun and Sky texture. There is no options to control the Sky texture even if I added it.

If I made a mistake to get it, please let me know.
      Thanks once again.

          Thank you very much!!!
I don't use any patch with the 64bit build.
I will try to figure it out more and then I will let you know about that.
          Thank you!!

            Re: Use Camera Path

            Hello,

It is really weird. It is working great with vb25-42183-windows-x86.exe now.
But there is still no luck with vb25-41440-windows-x86_64.exe.
Actually there is no problem with vb25-41440-windows-x86_64 for the Output option. But the error is happened after I updated the exporter. I need to update the exporter to use the Use Camera Path feature.
I tried to three different methods to update exporter.
            1. git pull
            2. click Update Exporter button in V-RayBlender UI => I got an error message with this way. Please check attached the image for the error.
            3. overwrite C:\Program Files (x86)\V-RayBlender-2.60\2.60\scripts\startup\vb25 with bdancer-vb25-324e966.
And I tried to reset Blender with deleting Blender config files as well.

Is there any new builds for vb25-windows-x86_64? That said is there upper builds than vb25-41440-windows-x86_64.exe?
I got the build from http://www.graphicall.org/.
And there is just vb25-42183-windows-x86.exe on https://github.com/bdancer/vb25/downloads.
It is hard to find new vb25-windows-x86_64 build for me.

I have no more idea to figure it out by myself. Please give an advice if I am missing something for that.

Thank you for all of your kindness and efforts.
            I really appreciate it.

              Re: Use Camera Path

There vere some changes in blender api so new script will not work with old builds (thats why it works with 42183, but doesn't work with 41440).
I'll try to find a way to build 64bit version as soon as possible.

Thank you for the new build for x86-64.
I tested use camera path with the new build. It is perfectly working now. :_)

                  Thanks once again.
