  • 32bit Displacement Clipping

    I've been doing quite a lot of experimentation with 32-bit displacement and it looks like the negative colors gets clipped



    there is a checkbox called "Allow negative colors", under Texture/Bitmap, that sounds like it should fix this but it doesn't seem to work.

    Hope this is a clear and easy to understand, if not then i can try to explain clearer.

    Yes, it seems to be a bug. I confirm that negative colors exist in this texture and vray is not able to read these values.

      Under "Influence" panel set "Blend" to "None" - this will fix the issue.
      This is because all textures are blended by default to their correspondent colors, but accidentally this as also done to displacement texture, I'll fix it a little later and by now use the workaround.
