yes probably

1) i am a just c4d user now, same as all here, and not Chaosgroup, so all i say is my opinion or point of view
2) i said you get 1 year free license for the migrations, starting from the point where i said this(2-3 years ago) so i recommended it of course- it is free.
this i meant includes also the next versions/updates once they are ready (=all updates within a year,) but i never said or meant that vray 5 will be free itself (in fact it is now for 1 good months).

my personal opinion is that you got i think around 2.5 years free migration licenses, which is more than friendly from Chaosgroup.

By subscribing for V-Ray 5 for Cinema 4D you also get access to V-Ray 3.7 so you should be able to use it as well.

If you have an active subscription for V-Ray 3.7. you do not have to necessarily update to V-Ray 5 and you can keep on using V-Ray 3.7. If you are part of the free migration program, then your free migration license will expire on Jan 13th. It was set to expire in 2019, but we extended the grace period for all migration users with more than a year. If this, indeed is the case, and you are part of the free migration program, you need to purchase monthly or annual subscription and you can use either V-Ray 3.7. or V-Ray 5 for Cinema 4D, depending on your preferences.

great explanation! Of course it needs time to get used to V-Ray 5.
SO everyone ownling V-Ray Licences (3.7) annually or monthly are able to use V-Ray 5, too. Right? So we can test it, work with it etc.

OF course this is also necessary to open and render "old" files. If not that would be an absolute catastrophe.
But I see when logging in iam able to download V-Ray 5 as well as V-Ray 3.7 so I can switch and finally discard 3.7 after some years (I hope).
