  • Motion blur on IPR

    Hi!

Did I miss something or the motion blur is not visible on the IPR?

    Cheers,
    Arnaud

Hi pixilab, no you haven't missed anything - the motion blur in Interactive is not supported and may not be supported in the future, due to the way animated values are read from the scene. If we manage to overcome those limitations at some point in the future we will post an update in this thread.

As an alternative - you can use the native IRR with the progressive sampler to achieve similar workflow, but the updates of the render output will be noticeably slower.

Thank you Deyan, I'll use this alternative for the moment!

I remember the first sneak peek video, where you demonstrated MB in IPR...
          what was different there?

Yes it was working back then. Unfortunately when we continued the development we've stumbled upon some technical issues that made the Interactive rendering quite unstable (for the same reason there is no motion blur in with V-Ray for Maya as well), and then we've also found a limitation within Cinema 4D.
