  • Missing Render Elements

Not seeing (and I'm using names from V-Ray Next for Modo here), Ambient Occlusion and Surface ID

AO pass was never available on Vray for C4D and even on Vray5 there is not such an option. You can get this very easily though, you can add an extra tex channel and load a dirt shader. I'm not sure about the Surface ID RE.

A Surface ID is what some people call a Clown pass. It assigns a unique color for each part in the scene which is useful for selection making/editing in PS afterwards.

        Hey SharkNinja .
The alternative to Surface ID in V-Ray would be the Render ID render element. It will assign a random unique color for each object.

HI Ivan, Render ID only assigns colors to objects. In some cases we assign materials at a polygonal level. Surface ID would show these distinctions, Render ID does not.
