  • Render takes too VFB

    Hi

I have 4 takes in cinema that I want to render to VFB so that I can use the LightMix.
What is the best way to do this? I can't see how to ad all the takes to VFB?

    Hello RickardAx,

Currently, Cinema4D Takes cannot be rendered within the VFB. This has already been discussed here on the forum and we already have such a report (VC4D-799). I will let you know once we have more information on the matter. Thank you.

      Hi
Ok, i searched the forum but did not find that discussion.
Is there no workaround? I tried to set it up as an animation but VFB just saves the last frame?

        Hello RickardAx,

This topic has already been discussed here and here.

If you want to render takes and use the VFB to use the Light Mix, the current workaround would be to use the V-Ray Output system to save your images as .vrimg files and then load them inside the VFB to use the LightMix.

I hope this is of help. I will let you know once we have more information about the ability to render Cinema 4D Takes within the VFB. Thank you.

+1 on takes to vfb support. We are big users of the c4d take system and for now we render to picture viewer, but it would be nice to use vfb.

            Hi Aleksandar

            Thanks a lot!
Saving it using the V-ray output system and then batch processing the files was exactly what I was looking for!
            Have a nice weekend!

Yep, rendering to picture viewer is how we do it! Just make sure you save your scene with the VFB having the correct settings and then when you render to picture viewer it applies the VFB!
