  • How can I use c4d-hair with type like square or instances? Vray renders only flat

Hi, if I use c4d-hair I'm not able to render 3D-objects-types like square or instances - it is only flat. Is there any solution? I need c4d-hair because of dynamics - vray-hair is no option.

    Cheers

There is an option to generate real geometry in the C4D hair settings, there you can set the shape

Very nice - is it available anywhere? But you didn't use instances for the hairtype, right? Attached you see a simple scene. On the right side you see the rendering with Cinema standardrenderer - everything ok. If I switch to vray it looks like on the left side. The cubeinstances are gone - it is just rendering the type "hair". I'm working with cinema 4d 21, Vray 6.

            Hello steilvorlage.de,

Please note that there is a known issue (bug ID: VC4D-656) where the C4D Hair always renders in a Circle type. This is logged in our system and I will let you know once we have more information on the matter. Thanks.
