Hi am I missing something but is there no way to add a bump / normal to the Fast SSS2 Material in C4d like there is in the 3ds max version?

Hello HeadOfficeStudio
If you aim to add bump or normal mapping to Fast SSS2 Material you can do that by using the Blend Material. More information about it here: https://docs.chaos.com/display/VC4D/Blend+Material
Would you find it useful to have bump/normal options implemented into the Fast SSS2 Material itself? Any examples of how will this improve your workflow will be much appreciated.

You can also try the bump material. It should not slow down the render3D Scenes, Shaders and Courses for V-ray and Corona

There are couple of ways to achieve your goal stated in this post. It would be great if you let us know which one you find most appealing to your workflow.
Please, be aware that any displacement you introduce to a scene may slow down the rendering process.
Meanwhile, I have informed on the topic you've raised and it will be discussed internally.
