Could you please elaborate on what exactly you are trying to achieve? An image reference with the desired outcome would help a lot.
Also, please let us know of the exact Cinema 4D and V-Ray you are using.
the sun was oriented in a way that did not allow the right cut of light. if you deactivate the caustics you will immediately notice that they were generated due to the exaggerated bounce (Photon radius 25000) start with the default value of 50 and then increase the right one - even the subdivisions bring the default values
