I am sure and appreciated, but you must agree as user you could believe the priority is much lower, even Blender is before and new.
Something chaos never learned is communicative policy, I believe sharing some status and information would keep a good mood.

Anyway like my wife is saying, talking to a wall...
But looking forward to the new version.

Agree, sorry, but its been getting worse over the years...C4d support is slipping down the line, now after Sketchup, basically the entire Film and Animation community (which is not small) is last to get updated, months after Max. We pay the same, but have to run on old software months after a new release. Should discount pro-rata for paying the premium but left on old software...OR...here is an idea...release all at same time!!??...Max can have the Beta's, use the arcane software to trial, but release the full version to all platforms at the same time.....be fare if your charging everyone the same OR...compensate....

        Hey everybody,

I understand your concerns and I'd like to assure you that V-Ray for Cinema 4D has never been in low development priority.

basically the entire Film and Animation community (which is not small) is last to get updated, months after Max
Last year, we released our major V-Ray 6.2 for Cinema 4D version almost a week after the V-Ray for 3Ds Max release and before the other integrations, which was huge to our team as well. I'm sorry to see this went unnoticed.

A release always depends on when core features are developed and ready by the other teams so we can start adding them in V-Ray 7 for Cinema 4D and at the same time maintain the existing V-Ray 6.2 for which a Hotfix is on it's way next week. Not being in beta phase doesn't necessarily mean we're not working on V-Ray 7 or it's with low priority. I do understand and appreciate the desire to get V-Ray 7 in your hands as soon as possible and this is our focus since V-Ray for 3Ds Max got out in November.

As I mentioned above if we were to launch a beta in November it would've last for a month and a half or so (including the holidays) which isn't ideal for both sides. Launching a beta takes time and development effort that we could otherwise be spend on additional development and deliver V-Ray 7 for Cinema officially sooner than later.

As for the current V-Ray 7 for Cinema 4D status - well... we're almost ready and we need a little bit of time to polish some things up.

I hope this answers your concerns to some degree.
        Thank you for the understanding!

Hi shaio yes last time felt good, when C4D came quick after 3DMax, but this was I think the only time. And this time 3D Max, Maya, Blender, Revit, and Sketches were already some weeks released, some as beta, some officially. We see only the implemenation is possible there, why not at c4D. Look, it takes as long it takes and it is as it is, you guys do a great job at the end... But if you would share preventive some information or some status, .. could really help. I am a freelancer and if I would keep my clients without any informations or status on some project... not good. Maybe the policy at chaos get one day more sensitive...

And yes, we are really looking forward to the new version

Agree with shaio, ime also a freelancer so our perspective is different, same as a business owner with a large studio. Transparency would be appreciated otherwise users...and thats quite a few, feel left out. I guess ultimately people just stop using the software, Redshift is always a good alternative or indeed Unreal, but thats how people start to think. I still believe new releases should be coordinated. Delaying others if c4d integration is deeper, its easy to delay and release all at once rather than loose customers and avoid having to explain. C4d users will still be waiting into 2025 at this rate, which does not look good from a business perspective, everyone else got theirs 2024....sounds bad! But, there is an easy fix...

I'm very sorry if this has caused any inconvenience. But among all vray user groups, this is how we feel. I'm sorry, bro.

I was a user of redshift before. Starting from redshift version 3.5.XX, I was looking for some alternatives, so I started to try to use vray to complete some projects. In fact, this shows that vray is not as backward as social media said, vray The performance allows me to complete large projects. I like the sense of security that vray brings to me.

But since I searched for more answers on the forum, I found that in terms of development progress and functional perfection, 3DSMAX’s vray has too many functions that cannot be used on C4D. I don’t think C4D users can bring anything to the vray community. What a huge gain, but please believe that vray can get more development on C4D. We need more support from the vray development team, and we will prove that vray has greater advantages than other new GPU renderers in C4D.

I mean we asked about beta 3 months ago... almost ready implies sooner than that. Def think we could of had a beta.
