I'm using several deformers in my project that turn on and off.
The hierarchy in my project is large so I tried to find what was causing it. But I noticed the behavior of rendering the deformation or switching it off is very unpredictable.
So I created 3 files.
Deformed 1:
Has 2 working hierarchies. Some work, some don't.
Deformed2:
I removed 3 objects from "Deformed1". And now the 3 lower objects that do work in "Deformed1" don't switch off anymore.
Deformed3:
Very simple hierarchy. But not switching off..
I also animated the strength of the deformation. And it works when increasing (frame 0-3). But decreasing doesn't show it.
Only when it reaches it's initial state at frame 6 it resets.
I really hope this can be fixed soon. Since I already started a project but I can not finish it for now.. But my client doesn't care about that.
