  • Missing vray6.1 standard material shader

As shown in the picture, 6.1 lacks several shaders compared to 6.0. Is this a bug?

    Hello 123456_

The mentioned V-Ray textures are currently unavailable.

Please, be aware that the textures can be used with V-Ray Node Materials.

I understand. Will it be restored to use in the future? After all, it will be faster to use standard materials for some simple materials

              Hello sirio76

To color correct in V-Ray Standard Material you can use the Filter. Simply add it from the dropdown menu and you will be able to adjust the Hue, Contrast, Brightness, Enable Gradation Curves and more. Refer to the screenshot for more information: http://ftp.chaosgroup.com/support/sc...6_10-18-03.jpg

I know about the filter option, I still think it would be a better option to have an “uniform” color correction system that act the same in both standard and node editor. Having totally different options between the two system may result confusing, especially for less expert users.
Ideally we should have the same feature set between the node and the standard material system, and choose one or the other depending on our needs.

Search for this material in Chaos Cosmos and you will get color correction. The vray seems to have hidden many shaders

I know this is used for some Cosmos assets, but it should be available in the shader list rather than be hidden.

                        Hello 123456_

Would you give us some feedback regarding the unavailable textures? Why do you want them specifically to be supported?

For example, if the textures are not hidden, they can be used on displacement

Would you let us know why do you prefer using those V-Ray Textures instead of Cinema 4D's native textures?

The V-Ray texture compensates for some of the shortcomings of the Cinema 4D native texture, just like this texture used to make broken glass. It seems that this texture cannot be achieved in the Cinema 4D native texture
