When using Decal, there is a strange shadow when Displacement is enabled.

  • When using Decal, there is a strange shadow when Displacement is enabled.

    I don't know if my usage method is wrong. I only gave black and white textures to the mask and displacement.

    Hello qingyuan_pang You should be able to do this by using the V-Ray Bump Material. Please, refer to the video recording: http://ftp.chaosgroup.com/support/sc...7_07-30-41.mp4

    Also tested the Decal Displacement option and it seems to work as expected: http://ftp.chaosgroup.com/support/sc...7_07-35-36.jpg

    If this does not work for you, please, send us the scene so can investigate further.

      Is possible that displacement settings are not ideal to produce enough subdivisions on the surface, try to pre-subdivide the mesh in square of 10x10cm, maybe rise the edge length to 2 or 1 to get more detail.
