  • Vray 7 // Bump Node Problem

    Hi,

it seems there is a problem with the bump node.
When I start a new file, create a new node material and just put a bump node in the material node, the viewport freezes or doesn´t refresh. When I try to rotate, move or whatever the viewport nothing happens, just after I deleted the bump node, I think, the viewport jumps to its estimated position.
So, right now, I can´t really work with Vray7 because all my old files and my preset files contain materials with a bump node.

    - Cinema 4D R23.008 (Build RB323902)
    - Vray7 (v7.00.00)

    Thanks in advance

    Hi SKuser,
Unfortunately this is caused by an oversight in our viewport previews. We are aware of the problem and are working on providing a fix. A potential workaround on newer Cinema4D versions is to disable viewport previews from Options->Materials or (N~Q), however, that does not seem to work on R23.

Hello SKuser I am glad to let you know that the fix has been implemented in the latest stable V-Ray 7 for Cinema 4D build. You can find it here: https://nightlies.chaos.com/main#/vrayc4d7/stable

If the page is empty, please, log out ( top right corner ) and then log in again. If it's still empty, let me know.
