  • [HOU-1429] Baking objects

    Hi,
    I'm currently trying to bake one object to another (basecolor, normals, etc), so basically baking game models from a high res geo. However I am unable to find out if or how it's meant to be done in Vray4houdini. I can't make it work and the bake section is not documented. All I can do is render 1 object in UV space.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    And what do you expect it to do?

    To bake data other than beauty pass add render elements.

      I want to bake a high-res geo object onto a low-res geo object. I don't see any way to specify a high res geo to bake from.

        We have projection baking implemented in V-Ray but I'm not sure it's exposed in Houdini - will have to check.

            DeadClown, yes, that's not yet implemented, I see those parameters at the bake plugin, should be pretty easy to add.
