dpotuznik, have you tried using VRayScene geometry node? You could reference the whole vrscene with it: https://www.chaosgroup.com/blog/how-...n-applications

Thank you for your response,
yes i tried. and it worked i can render the scene Modo vray in houdini. ,
but in houdini, i need to extract the some geometry to add a special effect on some of them (see the picture)

so maybe i don't have the right workflow.
For now i have exported my animation in fbx and create the FX in houdini and for render i want to import the material from the vrscene modo but when i click to import material from the vrscene i got the error message.
Maybe is another way ? ( i am really new on houdini and v-Ray)

i going to do the material tonight i try to send you the file until tomorrow.

do you know whitch node i need to avoid to be simpler for you ?
for most the time i will use 2 triplanar node (to mix them with a color blend) and an another color blend to control the value black / white for the glosiness for exemple.

just to know if it's some changes on the last build concerning this matter?
i going to use this option tomorrow and it's just to know how far i can go crazy with the material (i need to have closely the same render between modo and houdini)
because unofrtuately, i not have time to redo all the shader in houdini.

Btw, have you tried exporting to *.vrscene instead of FBX and using VRayScene geometry SOP? Will that work for your FX? This way referenced *.vrscene will be rendered exactly the same.
I'll really prefer this approach and better to implement missing parts here.
