Hopefully very soon so we can roll out what we currently have and focus on new functionality.

    Cheers!

ronald_a , the fix is now in the nightly/nightly builds.

Hey Gosho.Genchev , thanks for the update, but I am afraid, that not too much has changed. Did a super simple testscene. renders on an 7 year old macbook pro with 4 cores in 30 seconds, 40 core dell workstation takes 1:12.

That is quite surprising - we managed to isolate the problem and it was definitely solved on my end. The render went from 30 seconds down to 6 on our NUMA machine.

Could it be the case that you're using a stable nightly build (V-Ray Core 4.12) ? The change is only picked in the nightly/nightly builds (those using V-Ray Core 4.30).

If you're using 4.30 and still seeing such a slow-down, a file would be hugely appreciated. It's entirely possible we didn't consider something, or the fix is incomplete.

          Cheers!

            Hey Gosho.Genchev,

I can absolutly confirm that the test has been made with Core 4.3, I actually redid them with yesterdays nightly build.

            Scene is attached.

                Hey, Ronald,

messaging so you know we're looking into this. I've been on this on and off for the past few days, sadly, with nothing to show for it. The previous problem we resolved was related to the volume light cache and the v-ray memory tracker - the devs fixed it but clearly there's more to the problem.
                I'll keep you posted.

                All the best!

                  Hey Gosho.Genchev ,

thanks for the update. At least you are seeing the same issues that I see!

                  Cheers,

                  Ronny
