Hey guys,
just downloaded the latest nightly build ffor Windows (5476 hash: d275625 from 18 Oct 2019 04:15), did a quick test, attached scene rendered with CPU.
CPU renders fine, but GPU refuses to bucket render or start IPR. IPR status bar says "Compiling kernels for device GeForce GTX 1080ti" twice and then stops. I did find and error message in the console: "FH [Warning] V-Ray: initDevices() failed. Please check that your system has compatible GPU devices installed."
Tried to narrow down the issue and turns out it's the texture file (JPG/PNG) used for the display that causes the issue, removed the texture file and rendered fine with GPU as well. Additionally it renders perfect with the latest stable build, so it looks like it's only a nightly issue, but kinda strange for sure.
Houdini 17.5.360, Windows 10, AMD 2950X and 4x1080ti.
Let me know what you think!
Chris.
