  • (Fixed) [HOU-2101] Rendering frame range in Frame Buffer

Not sure if that's an intended behavior or a bug, but when the vray ROP is set to Render Frame Range and I press the Render button in the Frame Buffer, it goes off and tries to render the entire sequence.
Is there a way to prevent that?

To mind mind it would make sense to render the full sequence only in batch mode or when you hit the Render to Disk on the ROP, rather than when I do test renders on the buffer.

    thanks

    I thinks that's houdini behaviour.

hmmm.... but that's not the case when using Mantra, Redshift or Arnold.

So, you want the Render button always render single frame?
I could possibly add an option to the ROP to enable such behavior...

          Yeah that would be great.
I think it makes sense that the render button on the frame buffer only renders the current frame.
I guess the current behavior may be useful if you want to render the sequence locally and observe the progress... but that's not common in production.

Thank you for looking into it.
