  • ( fixed ) [ HOU-2152 ] Multiple materials on packed objects

I have a bunch of packed RBD objects. I want to have randomly chosen materials on them. So I used the material SOP to apply two materials randomly to the primitives.
Now my primitives have one of two different shop_materialpaths
In the viewport, the objects show as having a mix of both the shaders. However, when I render, I only get one material (the first one)
Where am I going wrong here?

    Thanks,

    Rhys.

For now I discovered the MtlMulti, which I have controlled with a userInteger.
That is working fine. Is this the recommended workflow, or is the shop_materialpath supposed to work somehow as well?

Dubbie99, seems to work fine for me, could you send me a hip file? Btw, are those packed fragments?

Dubbie99 , shop_materialpath should work, but I will check it twice. You could use TexPatternID or TexRandom in combination with MtlMulti as well.

Hi Dubbie , I've checked your scene and the problem appear to be only in V-Ray 5, everything is OK in 4.30. I've reported it. Thanks for the feedback!
