  • [HOU-2169] Skin material bump normals

    Hi,

Looks like there is a small issue with the V-Ray Skin shader output to the "bumpNormals, or maybe it's the expected result....

Two spheres with the exact same bump applied, left sphere has a gray standard shader and the right sphere a skin material with default settings. And in the bump normals of the skin shader does not correspont to the gray sphere. Is this a bug? or because of the refraction of the skin shader?
The 4 corners of the bumNormals of the skin shader sphere appear flat, but in nuke I can see the bump, it just has very different values from the gray sphere.

Looks like UV mapping of Skin material is wrong, I'll check it on my side and will write back here. Thanks for the feedback.

After more digging, looks like normals in bumpnormal element is nor normalized for Skin Material. I've logged it in our tracker.
