  • (fixed)[HOU-2709]GPU + RTX opacity bug

    Unless this works differently this isn't working as expecting on RTX/GPU. Opacity does not work with two different materials this works fine on the CPU even as you can see before it renders the final image it shows the correct output when doing the lightcache but then it doesn't render correctly.
    If the opacity is just on the material it works fine. Maybe in the GPU this works differently and if so can you guys explain please? thanks. Attached is the HIP

    Could someone either tell me if Im doing something wrong, or there is another way to accomplish the same or this is another GPU/RTX bug? Thank you

      Hello hsz , the obj model is missing, but I tested with a grid and can't reproduce it n my side. Any chance for the obj file?

            Hi, I've just checked it with your model.
            This is definitely a bug.
            Something goes wrong when two parts of the mesh get different materials. As a workaround I can suggest you to split paper and outside part in different geo nodes. Is this work for you ?

              Not really for what I'm doing. I'm using Vellum and I need both pieces to be one, if I was not simulating and render as a still it would be fine. I hope this bug can get fix soon, Thanks
