  • [HOU-4656] Primary Visibility Off for Houdini Hair on GPU ignored

    Hi,

    i am rendering houdini hair with VRay on the GPU. I can't render with the primary visibility set to off for the hair. It is just always visible. It works on the CPU
    Test scene is attached.

    Houdini 20.0.445
    VRay 6.20.25 22833

        Hi Viktor, thank you for looking into it. Is it possible to get access to the vray 7 nightlies for houdini? I can only see vray 6 for houdini and vray 7 for all the other packages.

            So, I got access to the vray 7 nightlies and tried build 22887 from Feb 19th. Seems like the problem with the primary visibility on the gpu is still there.
            In addition to that I can't render point attributes from the hair on the gpu like e.g. rest, curveu. That also works on the cpu

              Yeah Houdini/Maya this functionality isnt working, reading custom attributes in GPU and RTX
