  • Edit material: generic shader?

Hello. I have some assets, setted up with vray materials, and saved with Component output, or just ROP USD Output node in Solaris, and when I load this asset in other scene, it's render ok, but I want to change something in mat I load it via "Edit Material Network" and my Vray material becanme Generic shader, and everything is generic, and look like a mess. Why it's happens?

Because there is no way yet to map shaders back to V-Ray VOP nodes.
e are working on this with SideFX, but there is no solution for now.

Ok. Thanks. If I need to change base color in my material, or blend it with Cd from point instancer, what is correct way to do it? Like add yellow tint to the green leaves to make them autumn

It's exactly the same as in non-Solaris: User Color node with an attribute at the geometry / instancer.
