  • cache textures

In Vray for Maya there is an option to cache textures so they don't have to be loaded every time when rerendering an image. this is sometimes very helpful during lookdev.

Could this be implemented (along with cleaning the cache) into VfH as well?

Hello ronald_a ,it's a V-Ray for Maya feature and can't be directly integrated in to VfH. But I'll add it in todo list.

I was actually looking for this menu 2 days ago too. I had a bunch of assets on UDIMS and textures with tiled EXRs. Specially for RND/IPR workflows its very nice to have option to keep things in memory. That can cut startup time significantly. In my case 10-15s waiting for textures to be loaded each time...
