volume absorption and phase function

Dont now if the houdini wishlist is the right place but i wonder if its planned or could be planned a volume absorption(preferably with color control also) and phase function to volumes. We are doing alot of volumetric stuff and would like to have this control on the vdbgrids and envfog.

I too would be very keen to see this. Its been too many years of having to switch to another renderer to render volumetrics
While you are at it, there have been some good volumetric optimization papers over the years which would be nice to see!
