  • MultiSubTex working with Random By PolyShell

    Hi,

I've a VRayMultiSubTex where I need to randomise textures on a single Mesh that is made up of multiple shells.

Only Random by object is available.

Is there a way to do this?

Somehow combine the samplerInfo's Random By Polyshell with multisubtex? Thanks,

I'll make a note about it, thanks for the input. It sounds like something that should not be difficult to do, but I'll check with the devs.
In the meantime, the samplerInfo should do it, where you can use it to drive the uvCoords of a ramp and you can texture each ramp position - this should/would get you pretty much the same result.

I want to also make a note that random by instance id, or any randomization does not seem to work with vrscene loaded as instances.

Could you elaborate a bit on the setup?

Do we have any update on how to do this with vraymultisubtext? Do a random by polyshell?
