Will V-Ray for Maya 3.60.05 be released?

Hey,

Now that V-Ray Next (for Maya) is out, are you planning on releasing 3.60.05 or has the 3.x development stopped?

There's no ETA for the moment and we're not sure if we'll do a release or not.
Basically, what you see as 3.60.05 stable nightly is the same code as the 3.60.04 release, but with a few additional fixes.
After moving to the Next release all development happens there, as it's the current state of the code and new features or improvements are not added to the 3.6 code anymore. If there are important bugs we need to fix, we'll consider porting them to 3.6. If a bug fix is made for 3.6 - it goes into the 3.60.05 stable builds. If there is something critical or otherwise requires us to make our users aware of it - we will release a 3.60.05.

Great, thanks. Yes, this definitively answers my question. Then we wont hold off until an official 3.60.05 release is made, as we are still on 3.x.

I see the latest stable builds are incomplete (linux builds missing). Is the one from Oct 3rd any different from the very latest one?

The ones from the 23rd are pretty much the same as the ones from the 3rd, so you can grab those.
I'll check in with the devs to see why didn't all builds come out on the 23rd.

Hi. Can I ask please... "Can you guys confirm that V-Ray 3.6.xx will be deploy for new Maya2019 ( to be precise for linux os) ?

We have not yet decided upon releasing 3.60.05 or whether or not it will support 2019 at this point. There's still some tests to do for 2019 support and it will come for the Next builds for sure.
Once we are sure how things will go - we'll make an announcement on the forums.

We've just released 3.60.05 for Maya, which includes a few important bug fixes and we recommend that you install it.

As mentioned previously in the topic, we didn't intend to release it, unless there's modifications or bug fixes that needed to go out to our users.
