Hey guys,
Ive noticed a change to the way RT treats display layers. It used to not refresh when a layer was turned on or off, which had its advantages. Now it instantly refreshes, which can be useful too. The way I used to work though was to create a TEMP_HIDE layer and assign things like car rear light lenses and glass geo to bug fix transparency issues or work out which bits of CAD were misbehaving. This worked fine as Id start up RT rendering the beauty, and add geo to the TEMP_HIDE layer to drill down into the asset in the viewport, making changes, hiding / unhiding geo, but always seeing the update on the full beauty since RT and display layers werent linked. Now I cant find a way to visually inspect the asset in the viewport without changing the beauty render since hiding the TEMP_HIDE layer now updates RT. The result is I have to have all the geo visible, and try to find the parts that need fixing without being able to selectively hide parts.
Is there a way to tell a specific display layer not to refresh RT?
