  • grey shaded overide

Hey, just a quick question. Is there a possibility to have an override of the scene just with grey shaded diff, no trans, no reflect, just normal and displacement? Just a standard clay rendering but out of the box after importing assets like Megascans etc... I don´t want to use the render layer system in maya and render the scene 2 times, and setting hundreds of shaders manually. In redshift there is an override button for this in the render settings. Thats good for presentation for clients, just to show the set with displacement and normals. If there is no simple solution, plz put it on the Wishlist.

    thank you!

    regards tom

Render layer system is the best way you just put everything in a collection with a material override. done!

Render layer is one of few options, and I've asked for this many times as well. While render layer allows you to do a global override if you right click on render layer attributes you can connect a single shading group to that.
