  • HDRI spherical image with floor

Hi There I need help in using a HDRI spherical image as an environment where my item (car for example) sits correctly on a flat floor. Shadows and reflections would be a bonus without having to do two seperate render passes

    Like this example...

Whats the technique? Any links to tutorials etc greatly appreciated as this has stumped me.

    Thanks

This is a timelapse in max, but should be pretty easy to pick up on the best practices to use. Obviously this is quite a lot of detail - you're possibly only looking for a single plane and a half sphere to wrap the sky in.

Thanks for the response. Cripes, Max. I thought this was a Maya forum. I supose the principals are the same, if thats the case I think I can get my head around it having done projection mapping before. Always a pain with floors to work correctly though.

      Thanks for the link
