VFB batch convert

Is it possible to open a sequence of rendered exr files and apply a VFB preset and batch save out as png's?
I have a few 100 files to convert, doing one by one is working but taking some time..

The VFB batch convert only works with VRimage

Refer to this thread for an answer. A similar script will be necessary for .exrs at this point.
