  • Apply different shader to vray procedural fur

    Hi,

Is it possible to have one shader for the base geometry, and another for the procedurally generated fur? I'd like to have a vrayMtl on the base geo, and a hair material on the fur.
I see in the Vray Rhino docs there is a "Material Toggle". Does Vray Maya have an equivalent option?

    Thanks,
    Chris

I just tested this on a simple scene and there are no issues - the fur and base object have different shaders assigned and render as expected. What results are you seeing?

Ah, I see. I need to apply the mtl to the "FurPreview" object. I was assuming (because of the name) that it was just for previewing the curves in the viewport, and would not affect what is rendered. Thanks!
