  • Degamma image plane?

Is there a way to degamma the image plane in vray? (And btw, what does the "Linear Workflow" button actually degamma?)

    Thanks!

The "Linear workflow" option only affects the color slots of the VRayMtl material and nothing else.

In recent builds however, you can add an extra V-Ray attribute to File textures that specifies the input gamma for those particular images.

Not even phongs, lamberts or any other Mayan material? I thought the only thing that it didn't affect was the color slot for the VRayLightMtl.

      Thanks for clearing this up.

Yes, the attribute is very nice. But for image planes it doesn't exist, since they're not "real" file textures. But it would be nice to have that attribute there, of course. And thanks for the explanation of the LW option!

Yes, I've noted this down and it's on the "to do" list.
