  • Rendering Camera MotionBlur only?

    Hi Guys,

is it possible to render the camera motion blur only without seeing (and exporting) object motionblur? In my case the shape deformation is blowing up my vrscenes and i really don't need it...it's a lot of slightly moving grass only...

    thx

I don't know if this holds true for maya, in max you can do that by setting the motionblur samples via object properties to 1 (or 0? Whatever the lowest possible value is)

    Regards,

you're right! just thought that 1 motion blur sample would take the current object plus 1 step, but in fact it only uses the shape at the time of the interval center....good to know!

It is true for V-Ray for Maya as well.

After knowing this I would additionally request a render option for "camera motion blur only" since it is sometimes really hard to setup so many VOPs as in my case...

          cheers

            Oli,
If you have a group you can apply the object properties to the group and the settings will be applied to the nodes in the group.
Keep in mind that only the last object properties node in the path is applied, there is no merging of object properties.
