Hi all,
Trying to get fastSSS to scatter some emissive materials (think bright led sources embedded in something... fat, skin, fluid..)
Test image shows 2 separate cylinders, lit with one area light.
thin cylinder with vray light mtl (hot green) intersecting a fatter cylinder that has a blend between:
base: stripes of the same vray lightMtl (hot green)
coat material: FastSSS material set to default "pink skin"
(basically trying it both ways: to test inter-object scattering and single-object, multiple materials)
also tried putting the color blend upstream from the fastSSS and plug it into scatter color and subsurf color, to no avail (as opposed to blending 2 materials).
update: switching the single scattering to raytraced, seemed to work for the inter-object scattering.... that, and -not- using RT
still no luck with the texture based approach.
any and all ideas welcome!
