    Hi,There.

    I would like to get "bentNormal" pass with Vray for maya.
    I can do it with vray for 3dsmax.
    I use vrayDirt with environment occlusion mode on and I use NormalVec of vraySamplerInfo as GI Environment map.

    And I did same way in maya,but I cannot.
    How can I do with maya and vray?

        Hi,

        Thank you for posting the example shots.
        Unfortunately we are still working on this workflow with bent normals for V-Ray for Maya.
        I will try to keep this thread updated.

          You can set up the same thing in Maya though; you can add extra V-Ray attributes to the samplerInfo node, and one of the V-Ray outputs is the normal in world space. Unfortunately there is a bug in TexDirt that prevents this from working properly, but it is fixed for the next nightly build tomorrow.

            Actually no need to fix anything; you can use the "rayDirection" output of a samplerInfo node as the GI environment...

              Ha, this sounds awesome! I´ll check that out tomorrow. The good thing is, I have still one channel left in my special passes render Love it!
