  • Custom log files location

    Hi,

We've got a number of machines, which makes it a bit tedious to remote into them to get a hold of log files. Is there any way I can specify the vray4maya_log.txt files to be written into a custom filepath, so it can be placed on the server and have the machine's name appended to the filename?
    Best Regards,
    Fredrik

Hm, it appears to be hard-coded for the moment. Would it be enough to use an environment variable for the location and name of the log?

    Best regards,
    Vlado

For me, an environment variable would be great!

        Hi,

        2 environment variables were added:
VRAY_FOR_MAYA_LOG_FILE_NAME - specifies the name of the log file (vray4maya_log.txt is used if not set).
VRAY_FOR_MAYA_LOG_FILE_PATH - specifies the path to the log file (the temp folder is used if not set).
You can test it in the nightlies

        Best Regards,
        Viktor
