  • vrimg2exr and render element

    Hi,

When converting vrimg file into exr, the render element are embedded (multi channel exr is created). Because Photoshop doesn't understand multi channel exr, is there an easy way to tell the vrimg2exr tool to export all the RE as a separate file?
I saw in the vrimg2exr help, that I might have to write the command including the name of the RE, but I have a lot of RE.

    Thanks,

    Yannick

    We already have this option:
    Code:
-separateFiles Writes each channel into a separate .exr file.
You can check what options are available by passing -help.

      Thanks.
I did try the -help but it didn't work. However if I execute it I can see the variable be the -separateFiles wasnt in the list.

      Cheers,

I'm not sure I fully understand you're last sentence.
Do you have this option in your version of V-Ray or not?
What version of V-ray are you using?

I tried it and it seems that I don't have the option.

          I am using:
          [2014/Mar/26|17:51:37] V-Ray: V-Ray for Maya version 2.30.02 from Sep 9 2013, 23:19:44
          [2014/Mar/26|17:51:37] V-Ray: V-Ray core version is 2.00.01

As far as I can see this is available only in the night builds for 2.45 and for 3.0 beta1.
None of the official releases have this option unfortunately, so you'll have to use one of the builds that have it.
