  • Velocity Pass - Absolute vs. Normalized

So I've got another velocity pass question.
We're rendering out with max velocity of 1, unclamped and unfiltered.

We're compositing in Flame and it's asking if we've got an absolute or a normalized velocity pass. I don't know the answer to that questions. What does vray render out?
It also has a button that says "blue channel magnitude". This is fairly vague as well. I can find nothing about it in the flame manuals. Any idea what that would be about?

    Thanks!

I'm guessing here (never seen a Flame in my life), but I think it should be "absolute" pass.

Normally V-Ray puts zeroes in the blue channel ("ignore z" attribute in the velocity render element), so I don't think it matters for the second question.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
