  • Any way to unlink a light from contributing to SSS only?

I have a scene containing a VRayDomeLight and an object with a VRayFastSSS2 material which is illuminated by a VRaySphereLight positioned inside it. Is there any way to prevent the dome light affecting the SSS (i.e. I only want the SSS from the SphereLight), but retain its diffuse/reflection components?

Does that make sense? I guess what I'm looking for is something like an "Affect SSS" option on the light itself (alongside Affect Diffuse etc...)

    Thanks!

No, there is no way to do this right now. You will have to do a separate render pass. We could do an "Affect SSS" option, but it is a bit tricky and I'm not sure how often it would be used.

    Best regards,

Thanks for the reply. It is a pretty unusual situation, so will go with a separate pass!
