  • Shadow Texture

    Hi All,

Quick question someone may have an answer for. I'm creating an Earth shader and need the shadows (or dark side of the Earth) to render as a different texture (Earth by day Vs. Earth by night). Any thoughts on how to achieve this? I looked into Material Overrides but no luck.

    Thoughts?

Render Element? That should give you the shadow on its own. Otherwise Render Layer with a white sphere and your light, that will give you just the shadow.
