  • VRay XGen and multimatte IDs

So I was hoping that the VRay material ID attribute, would be saved with XGen archived meshes. And it seems that it is. But it also seems like it's being ignored. I'm creating a landscape, and I basically have Grass Bushes and Rocks as three different descriptions. I gave each one a unique archive item a value for the multi matte ID (1,2,3). Then I add a multi matte, same as always, and i add the values (1,2,3). But when I go to render. Everything is Red in the multi matte. How can I control this?

It may be a bug. Can you share a scene? Or a simple example? I tried making one and it seems to work, but maybe I'm missing something.
A thing worth trying would be adding vrayObjectProperties and overriding the object ID to the description.
