I've already asked about it in another topic - but not as a main question. And I think this one requires a separate topic.
Are you planning to expand amount of slots in VRaySwitchMtl node? Why am I asking? Because in our old but still existing pipeline we've tried to lower the amount of instances / proxies in our scenes to control in less painful way material switching on repeating geometries. Of course there are several approaches which can be used to avoid usage of switch mtl node but in this particular case we cannot change it.
