    Hi

    It looks like the hair tesselation option in the vrmesh node is broken. Uvs and vertex colors on alembics does not get interpolated correctly, see attached render:

    This means we have to export subdivided curves which is a real diskspace killer.

    This render is with vray next for maya - update 2, but I also tested it in the latest nightlies and the problem is there as well. Any chance we can get this fixed?

        Oh that explains my recent problems.
        As soon as I turn on hair tessellation on alembic files, my render crashes cause it has textures going on to the uv cords of the curves. This is probably cause the uvs gets scrambled. If I remove the textures, or remove hair tessellation it works as expected.

            Is there an update on this issue?

            It would be great not to have to subdivide the curves before exporting from Houdini, as this heavily increases filesizes.
